With the help of one little hotkey, you can now make the VS2008 IntelliSense list transparent! Just press

CTRL. This is especially convenient when you need to see the code underneath the list.

Watch it in action :)

  • 1 つのショートカット キーを使うだけで、VS2008 の IntelliSense 一覧が透明になります。Ctrl キーを押すだけです。一覧の下に隠れているコードを見る必要があるときに、特に便利な機能です。ちょっと試してみましょう。

  • that is awesome! there's been quite a few times when I've needed to see the underlying code and intellisense has blocked visibility.

will the opacity of it be able to be set by the user or is it a fixed setting?

  • Hi Steve,

Glad to hear you like the feature!

The opacity is a fixed setting and cannot be set by the user.

    Thanks!

  • Question is, I want to change the key or disable it completely, I'm using Emacs Key layout and CTRL+N is down, which causes the freaking intellisense to disappear when selecting an member in the window.

  • This is actually a little annoying.

I want to change the key or disable it completely, I'm using Emacs Key layout and CTRL+N is Arrow Down, which causes the intellisense to disappear when selecting something in Intellisense.

It's so funny, because CTRL+N to go down 1 member makes the window disappear.

Please put in some kind of code to modify this thing.

    I'm using VS 2010.
