Shinobi was a SEGA arcade classic - that was then ported to every system on the face of the earth - and the PC was one of them. I never was able to find a story that explained the premise of this game - but it is fairly obvious. You are the ninja, throwing throwing stars at anything that moves, killing bad guys and rescuing hostages.
Simple but fun:
Shinobi runs perfectly under Virtual PC and is a good way to let off some steam :-)
I haven't played the PC version, but the arcade and Sega Master system versions are great. The sequels on the Sega Genesis (The Revenge of Shinobi, Shadow Dancer, and Shinobi III) and the arcade sequel (Shadow Dancer) are also very good games.
Here's the plot of the original Shinobi, from Wikipedia:
"Shinobi is about a ninja named Joe Musashi who has to stop a criminal organization called 'Zeed' who are kidnapping the children of the Oboro clan. Through five missions of increasing difficulty, Musashi must make his way to Zeed's headquarters and free all the hostages before confronting their leader, the Masked Ninja."
Coo, thanks for the info!
Would it be possible to integrate a Microsoft DirectX 9 driver in Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 ?
DirectX9 is from Microsoft- so there wouldn't be any license problems.
I'm asking because i have a very powerful computer (Dual Core 3000 MHz, 2xHD2900XT Crossfire) and would like to use it play Eve Online on host and virtual server. The only problem is- missing directX.
