The x64 file doesn NOT work for me... Tried it on multiple machines.
It says it's going to install the update, even says "completed" but no new items appear in the "turn features on/off" list..
I then tried a x86 windows 7, and the correct x86 update, and there it worked like a charm...
So.. Microsoft.. please test the X64 file again...
I concur with Sonic - I have tested both flavors 32bit on a 32bit win7 ult install and the 64bit on a 64bit win7 ultimate install. 32bit works like it should - bringing up a help file after install telling you what to do next (turn windows features on and off). The 64bit version says it completes, but it lies. Nothing is different - no features can be turned on or off... HELP!!

Same problem. I tried to install a 64-bit version of RSAT on two machines (both Windows 7 build 7600 64b).
Same for me - x64 RSAT is pretended to install succesfully, but it's doing it too quick and nothing changes at all. I even enable logs for wusa.exe, but can't see any error there. Please help!
I had a Windows 7 trial x64, with Japanese and Russian languagepack and Beta 2 Office 2010 (testing).
Ditto. x64 install completes without error (and rather quickly for such a large file) but adds no new selections to add/remove windows features.
Same issue here with the x64 package. Runnning Win7 ultimate x64 RTM (build 7600) and program goes thru the steps but there is nothing when I go to add windows features.
Tested it on a x32 windows 7 vm and it worked fine.
