The hardware assisted VT requirement for Virtual PC is really strange to me. I can run Virtual PC 2007 and VirtualBox with hardware assisted VT enabled on my Mac Pro without any problem. However when I start Virtual PC it keeps telling me I don't have hardware assisted VT enabled. Any idea?

Is there any reason to run windows update (update the operating system software) while running in windows xp mode. I hope I made that clear, let me explain further. I am running win 7 pro 64 bit. I update that regularly. I also run a few programs in win xp
I'm using Virtual XP so that I can run a DOS program. This program uses all the Fn keys, especially F6. Unfortunately, that hibernates the virtual PC and my keyboard (Toshiba Laptop) does not have an F lock key. How do I disable the hotkey functions and just let F6 be F6?
Did I follow the thread correctly-

Today, in frustration with Windows Virtual PC running DOS games, I tried uninstalling it and installing Microsoft VPC 2007 (under Windows 7). This is working great! When I tried it several years ago, DOS kept crashing. Perhaps I didn't install the SP1 version of MS VPC 2007 before.
Under MS VPC 2007 SP1, DOS games are much improved - faster graphics, better full screen support, and folder sharing.
