C:\Program Files\Microsoft Virtual PC\Utility\VMNetSrv

to c:\windows\inf

Step2.

Disabled the Virtual Machine Network Services driver.

Enabled the Virtual Machine Network Services driver.(Will install the service again)

I have a even worst problem with the VPC, Nortel VPN and the wireless network on my Dell E6500 notebook running Windows 7. With VPC 2007 installed but not running at all, whenever I start the Nortel VPN V10.04.16 using the wireless connection, the Windows 7 will crash.

I have tried on a couple of E6500 notebooks in the office and they all behaved the same. All these notebooks works fine as long as I don't start the VPN. Also, they works fine if I use a cable for LAN connection and start the Nortel VPN.

I wonder if anyone has seen this before?

Thanks.

Just copies files from the C:\Program Files\Microsoft Virtual Server\Drivers\VMNetSv\x64 and pasted in windows/inf folder. Disabled and re-enabled the adapter and restarted virtual server service, and worked like a charm! thanks.

What finally worked was selecting the actual connected network card - not the "Connected Network Card" option - in the dropdown box.

After searching the internet i have found alot of topics on this error. Most common solution was:

Number 3.

1. Uninstall Windows.

2. Install Linux/UNIX/DOS etc.

Works in 100% of cases

P.S.: I think it is great idea that you cant manually create new ethernet lan connections. Superb idea!

P.P.S: It is also great that you actually cant download virtual pc for vista from ms site in normal way. Only virtual pc for win 7. NICE!
