I have ubuntu loaded on my laptop and the mouse stopped moving. I think the updates was not completely installed and it cause it to freeze up. &lt;p&gt;&amp;quot;i8042.noloop&amp;quot;. &amp;nbsp;I describe how to do this on my blog, link below. &amp;nbsp;The patch also works on the default release LiveCD, but will not work if you upgrade the kernel to fix other bugs.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Setting the boot paramter just skips the whole issue.&lt;/p&gt;
