  • Congratulations for shipping! This is a very remarkable release.

  • Pleasssssssssssssee provide iso files for direct download.. here our connection speeds are low and we have to use Download Managers (multiple connection) for speed-up plus resume support, but your installation's offline download doesn't support any of these scenarios and is really slow and lacks a lot of things such as: speed, estimated time, multiple connection for higher dl speed, resume support, scheduling (bandwidth is expensive here and we need to download in some specified night-hours for lower costs)...

so pleassssssse provide iso file for direct download..

  • I almost forgot to congrats for the shipping :D

no doubt VS is the best dev tool, and it's better than ever.. thanks for all the hard works..

  • Great news. Thanks!

Are there significant changes from CTP 4?

  • Arash,

download the .exe and then use command prompt to run just that stub with the /layout switch. Now you can download all the files and reuse from place to place. I learned about this with update 1. It works with this update too.

  • devdells yeah i already know that, but my problem is that the installation application has no Download Management capabilities, and in a country with slow connection speed that's really problematic.. it's really slow and shows no download progress at all.. normally (with a Download Manager) it would take up 7 hours to download 1GB file, and now i don't even know how much is this update's size?? installer has no resume support, doesn't show speed, estimated time, etc

  • I agree with Arash. There are perfectly good tools for handling downloads. An installer is nowhere close to being a perfect tool, or even adequate in many cases. Give us an ISO please. It just works.

  • Does this include the C++11 enhancements that were released as a preview a few months ago? If not, is there any news on when they'll be fully working for production, as they are much more important to me than the tools improvements (nice though they are!)

  • Hi,

Thanks for the regular updates.  Could you please style the download link a different colour from the rest of the text?

    Cheers

    Joe

  • Did you fix the GUI?

  • Did you bring back the basic setup and deployment project type?. How am I supposed to deploy my services?

  • Did you return back a normal "Pending changes" window?
