I would love to see more walk-throughs and step-by-step examples of things. All of ya'll have done a great job with everything I have seen so far. Thank you for all your hard work!

Honestly, the best way I've found for finding stuff in the library is to use Google or MSN Search and adding site:msdn.microsoft.com to my queries.

How about removing parts of the MSDN Library completely when using the Index or Search? For example, when searching for ATL or MFC information, no matter if I've selected NOT to install the Windows CE documentation, it still pollutes my index and filter, ending up prompting me for the MDSN DVD/CD. It is aggravating on so many levels.

Or you could use Google search - site:msdn.microsoft.com followed by the query.

I do believe that Source Control settings (like check in notes, etc) are no longer a part of the project template - at least, that's what I've been told.

Hi Elona,
Are there plans to incorporate a feature in the library that would allow users to have the most current content visible, but local if possible? I'm talking about a 'smart client' version of the library. Right now, I can select 'online' or 'local'. How about 'check version of topic online first, download if newer version exists, then use the local copy'?
This would also give your team some incredible metrics on what topics are in demand, which are lacking in content for their level of use, and probably even feed ideas for articles. For example, if you're getting a ton of hits on Regex it might be time for a walkthrough on regular expressions.
Just a thought,
James

Hi,
We are having our TFS Server installed remotely(In US) and our machines (in India) were able to access the TFS Server. The problem is that we are not able to "Check in" or "Check out" the code from the source code control as the "Get Latest Version" and "Check out for Edit" menu options were disabled.
So kindly let us know how to resolve this problem.
Thanks
Venu Madhav Deevi.
