Fwiw we got Michal access to the CTP3 and he is going to remount his TFS database and export his work items via Excel to a new Team Foundation Server

I have tried to upgrade CTP3 to CTP4, now I understant that it isn't supported. But I am not able to get CTP3 working again, the download links for CTP3 are redirected to CTP4, I can not find a download file for CTP3 TFS. Do you know how to make my CTP3 based database working on any TFS version or where to find the CTP3 TFS files for download? Thanks

Is there anything we can do to save our data if we have already installed the previous CTP? I installed it because I saw a statement from Brian Harry in his blog telling that upgrades would be OK. I know CTPs are not supported for production but I was using it personally and would not like to lose the work I've done. Thanks.

Warrens, unfortunately that is true and is different from the beta and RC of the original release of TFS 2012.

Hi Charles -- the statement of support section suggests that upgrading from CTP to Update 1 RTM will be blocked. Does this refer to upgrading TFS? Upgrades from prerelease versions of TFS 2012 to RTM worked so this feels like a bit of a change.

These 2 sentences seen contradictory to me.

"You can install these updates on top of the RTM release of Visual Studio 2012 and going forward, future updates will install correctly on older updates."

"Most importantly, upgrading CTPs to any future release, whether CTP or RTM, is NOT supported and attempts to do so on the server side will be blocked."

Also if upgrade is not supported it would have been nice to know on the previous preview, means i have to rebuild any test images i installed it on.
