I am totally new to WPF. So can you please help me how did you get WpfDataNavigationApplication? Is it a function present in some namespace?

Yes I am a C# programmer and I use Visual Basic Power Packs and want to continue to do so. Its a mystery why its just not called Power Packs and designed for both C# and Visual Basic. That would be my comment in general as well why the two tools don't always have the same look and feel. Also why I'm at it I like to do scientific plots. Seems like there should be some plotting tools in the package. I use the graphics in power packs to program my own plots at the moment but there might be a better way.

Hi,

your solution was very helpful. I have simplified it a bit. orderCollection is not needed and ustomersDataGrid_SelectionChanged is simplified:

private void customersDataGrid_SelectionChanged(object sender,SelectionChangedEventArgs e)

{

custOrderHist_ResultDataGrid.ItemsSource = northwindEntities.CustOrderHist((this.customersDataGrid.SelectedItem as Customer).CustomerID);

}

Thanks..good one, but did you think a decoupling way, I meant a DAL where all DataSet will be there and BLL [Bisiness Logig layer] and View where WPF controls will be filled by BLL helper methods. I did same thing in winform but need to do in WPF. any clue?
