Welcome to the Visual Studio User Education (aka, UE) blog. We're the team that creates the documentation for Visual Studio--those pages in the MSDN Library that help you use Visual Studio. Come here to find the best and latest videos, blog postings, and other info about Visual Studio. We'll also keep you up to date on the most important changes to the MSDN Library documentation.
(By the way, check out the Visual Studio ALM + Team Foundation Server Blog--sort of a sister blog to this one, with a different focus, as the name suggests.)
While you're here, have a look at the links on the right side of the main blog page. You'll find lists of social media communities where you can find news, discussion, and other useful content. There are also lists of blogs and key pages in the MSDN Library. I'm still working on those, so maybe check back again in a bit….
You'll be seeing posts here from me and other members of the Visual Studio UE team, so, by way of introduction…. The team consists of technical writers, documentation managers, and technical editors. (I'm one of the latter.) Like I said, we create those Help topics that you find in the MSDN Library. Right now we're busy working on documentation for the next version of Visual Studio. We're also doing monthly updates to theVisual Studio 2010 docs on MSDN. We typically publish major updates to the documentation with each product release, and we're always doing monthly updates. So, in addition to providing info about Visual Studio, this blog will be a great place to learn about some of the interesting changes in the documentation that happen during monthly updates and for other milestones, learn about popular Help topics, and maybe get other glimpses into the docs and the documentation process.
Do you have comments about this blog? I'd love to hear what you think and what you’d like to see here.
