The goals are to learn and understand common issues and scenarios in the local market, collect feedback and suggestions, and communicate the findings to the product teams. The PM represents Microsoft and the developer teams in the local market. This is an important position with the possibility of influencing big changes in future versions of Visual Studio. The PM works closely with several worldwide Microsoft groups, including dev teams, product planners, localization teams and marketing teams.
