The webdevtools team has historically owned a control that shipped with IE5.5 and above. This control is the DHTML Editing Control. In order to improve security in IE7+, we took a hard look at this control and decided to remove it from Vista and IE7+. A post I made yesterday on the IE blog talks about this in detail. Please read it at http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2006/06/27/648850.aspx and let us know if you have any questions about this change. In particular I'd like to hear if you have an app that relies on this control and discuss your migration path with you.

Can everyone help me?
If you are running your web application on Vista, the control's GUID has been killbitted and it will not work. The downloadable redist is only for client applications that host the control and not for running within web pages. For web pages, you can use the 3 options we've listed above.
Hope that helps.
I see that you have heard this problem before, but I wanted to put my two cents in. I can not reply to messages using our company's webmail exchange server. It is really amazing that a microsoft product doesn't work with a microsoft product.
Do you have any idea how I can fix this?
Should I complain to Microsoft?
There's a critical update to Exchange/Outlook Web Access that will enable your scenario to work. It looks like your company has not patched your exchange server with this update. Please get your IT department to look at the following article and apply the necessary changes to the server - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/911829.
Hope this helps.
Using Blackboard 7.0 CMS. IE7 on XP used to prompt to run the dhtml edit control. With Vista, I cannot use Bb's visual text box editor...which is a powerful tool. The faculty I support will be very unhappy.
