&lt;p&gt;You need to click on &amp;quot;Advanced Settings&amp;quot; from the &amp;quot;Application Pools&amp;quot; not the Application itself (which confusingly, also has an Advanced Settings option in the Actions section, that doesn't give the option to change the pings settings&lt;/p&gt;
