Ladies and gentlemen, the moment we have all been waiting for (well us SQL Server geeks at least).
SQL Server 2008 RTM is available for download on http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/subscriptions/downloads/default.aspx.

Finally some of the exciting features I have been talking about will be applied on many environments.  If you did not check out what is new in SQL Server 2008 make sure you do since there are some major improvements like Policy Based Management, Resource Governor, Data Collector, Data and Backup compression, lots of new datatypes and much more.

More information can be found on http://www.microsoft.com/sqlserver/2008/en/us/default.aspx.

Check out the press release here: http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/press/2008/aug08/08-06SQLServer2008PR.mspx.
