We have just announced the latest new Rangers project, which was one of the top 3 choices for both internal and external Rangers.

Abstract

TFS 2010 has a compelling story on agile development but there is something missing. Customers are asking for a digital Scrum board as an alternative to the sticky notes on planning board.

This solution is going to be integrated with TFS for enhanced team collaboration. As usual, we are going to focus on a few top features and at the same time deliver an extensible and customizable solution.

Great stuff as always from the Rangers team. How will this project be different from EMC's Scrum Masters Workbench? Obviously they'll work a bit different, but they seem to be trying to solve the same problem. I'm guessing that this will integrate with MSF for Agile, Visual Studio Scrum, or both while the Workbench only integrates with SfTS. Is that correct?

I'm stoked for the Scrum board! Any thoughts on a Kanban board?

A digital board is a great idea! Would love to see some Kanban functionality built in such as work-in-progress constraints,

I'd be interested in something like that. We are using the EMC template however. For a sprint status dashboard we use scrumsprintmonitor.codeplex.com. Its a good utility and worth looking at.
