Who are You
David Scruggs. I’m a senior Developer TSP at Microsoft; translated, that means that I spend most of my time evangelizing development, design, and testing tools and technology to large enterprises. I’ve been at Microsoft for five years.
What Makes you tick
Sometimes, it’s coffee J. I have a really good circle of family, friends, and coworkers that drive me to be as good as I can be. I also have this weird drive to understand every tiny little aspect of everything that usually starts nagging me first thing in the morning. Fortunately, I have enough of a sense of humor to stay balanced (most of the time).
Where do you live
I live in the Atlanta area—just East of town on the way to Stone Mountain. There is a lot to do around here, from biking, hiking, jogging, playing and coaching soccer, and little hobbies here and there.
Where do you call home
I grew up in Atlanta, and it’s been my home forever. Wherever my family is feels like home, though.
Why are you active in the Rangers Program
It’s just a great opportunity to contribute something back from the field, learn a little bit more, stretch yourself, and scratch the itch of curiosity.
What is the best Rangers project you worked in and Why
Most recently, I was a reviewer on the architecture tools guidance project and the requirements guidance projects. I had a lot of experience in both, and they really needed a lot of eyes on them. Now I find myself wanting to write up a lot on the architecture tools. I think I’ve got some blogging coming up…
