It’s finally here: Today marks the kickoff of Microsoft’s Worldwide Partner Conference, WPC 2014, here in Washington, D.C. and the Internet of Things (IoT) Industry team couldn’t be more excited about what’s in store for partners. After a full year of rapid growth for IoT, now is the perfect time to share our plans for continued leadership in the space, and reiterate the opportunity IoT represents for Microsoft partners.

If you’re wondering where you can find IoT at this year’s conference, come check us out at one of our five IoT breakout sessions and three interactive, industry-specific sessions, where you can find out how to unleash the potential of IoT for your business. Read more about these sessions here and in the session catalog on Digital WPC.

Additionally, attendees can find IoT throughout Microsoft Central (booth #1001) where you can talk to our IoT experts, and experience how Microsoft technologies and services work together in the Industry Zones and Device Showcase.

If you aren’t able to join us at the conference this year, you can still catch some WPC highlights:

  • Join our virtual audience on Monday for the Vision and Cloud Keynote addresses, and again on Wednesday for Satya Nadella’s Vision Keynote. Live streams are available at WPC Connect (login required) or on the WPC home page;
  • Check back for session presentations and related resources, available at the end of July;
  • Stay up-to-date throughout WPC by checking the Digital WPC blog for daily recaps;
  • Connect with Microsoft and Microsoft partners by following @WPC and @MSFTWEB on Twitter, or by hash-tagging #WPC14.

Whether you’re attending this year’s conference or not, be sure to check these outlets regularly, because the IoT team will be sharing some great new content and information that partners don’t want to miss. In fact, just in time for WPC we are publishing all new IoT resources for partners that can help you Create the Internet of Your Things, so your business can start taking advantage of the growing opportunity today. If you’re here in D.C., stop by booth #1001 and see us. We’re looking forward to the week ahead — and to working with our partner ecosystem to enhance our leadership position in IoT.
