In response to customer feedback, Telstra, HTC and Microsoft have worked together to make some adjustments to the Telstra servers supporting push email for the HTC 7 Mozart. The adjustments were made Wednesday morning and customers should now enjoy optimal battery life when using always-on email.
You won’t need to do anything to your handset to take advantage of the battery life optimization, as the adjustments take place automatically on Telstra’s network.
However, if you’ve changed your device APN as a way to improve battery performance, we recommend that you change it back to the default Telstra APN. This will ensure you can access features such as charging app purchases to your Telstra bill.
To change your APN back to default simply follow the below instructions:
From Start, flick left to the Applications list, press Settings and then press Mobile Network.
Scroll down and press the edit apn box
Then press Delete then when prompted press the delete box.
This will remove the added APN and automatically change the APN back to the default Telstra setting.
We thank you for your patience while we corrected this.
I'll be trying this once my phone has been charged.. charged it at lunch time today and has literally just gone flat (9:51pm) and have barely used it this afternoon.. am so far really disappointed so hope this helps.
No it's not optimised. A fully charged battery did not last overnight.
What if I am not using the Telstra network and bought the phone outright. How do I get a better battery usage.
