TwilioCon is right around the corner and we’re very excited to participate in several ways!

Scott Guthrie will join Twilio CEO Jeff Lawson on the main stages Wednesday October 17th at 9:00 am (PST) for Jeff’s keynote address.  Expect a fantastic demo of how Twilio apps and Windows Azure work better together and, as always, a red polo.

Windows Azure is proud to sponsor the hackathon on Wednesday night.

We will award a Big Jambox and Sphero balls to the team that delivers the most compelling and complete app that uses both Twilio and Windows Azure Mobile Services.  Use an SMS verification system to add an extra layer of security to user authentication, place an automated phone call to a friend that isn’t making a move in your turn-based game, or develop something else that blows us away!  You can review how to use Twilio with Windows Azure here.

Craig Kitterman will be a judge for the main event and help select the overall winners.  We’re also contributing a Jambox to the grand prize pool, so there will be more than one way to walk away with some great sound.

Stop by the Windows Azure table during the hack to grab a free t-shirt and test out the latest preview features.  Show us any use of Twilio with Mobile Services and we’ll add a messenger bag to your pile of prizes.

On October 18th, Craig Kitterman and David Aiken, both Technical Product Managers on the Windows Azure team, will show you how to accelerate your mobile app development by utilizing a backend from Mobile Services.  From 11:05 to 11:45 am, see them take an app from concept to production.  Since they’re using Mobile Services, there will be plenty of time left for questions.

Fired up and want to experience it all first hand? Twilio and Windows Azure are happy to offer 25% off registration for members of the Windows Azure community.  Visit and use the discount code AZUREVIP25 to register today!
