Hello. I’d like to introduce myself, my name is Shawn Henry, and I’m a new Program Manager (PM) here in the Windows SDK group. I’ve been brought on board to help with some of the program management tasked needed to ship the Vista release of the SDK. I’m really excited to be working in this group. Through this blog I hope to showcase some of the new features in the Windows SDK and maybe some exciting tales, from a newbies perspective, of what it’s like inside the belly of the beast.
We’re happy to announce that RC1 of the Windows SDK is now live in both web setup and ISO form. You can get either version on our downloads page. The RC1 build is intended to run on Vista RC1 build 5520 or 5600 and .NET Framework 3.0 RC1. Check out the Release Notes for a complete description of known issues.
