I have been busy in the last 9 months feverishly working on Bing for iPad - It takes a lot of effort to wear the customer shows every day and do the right thing every time you have to make a trade off decision. If you have ever shipped a software you know what I am talking about. I am proud of the consistency, determination and agility demonstrated in building the first app specifically for iPad by Bing.

Some may giggle at the idea that Microsoft builds software for iPad... I don't. My primary reason is because Bing is a service, it must run on every and anywhere possible. More lives we touch, better decisions people may make. I couldn't resist from exploiting that lingo. Anyway, back to my main point: A service should blend in an existing ecosystems while everything else around it stays solid to its true nature. Get it done and fast.

That has been and still my mantra on web services specifically for the mobile business. That is what our v1 is brining to you. A great search engine, beautifully served over a successful tablet, sided by some Italian touches too.

Customer dedication to release a product that reflects the nature of an ecosystem and leverage great search technology that continues to improve every day at Bing has been the main driver from the entire team in pulling off this effort. I am very proud of what we have achieved and I am hopeful to hear your voice through this blog, your comments will shape the future updates. I want you to say "Hey, I suggested that...." feel part of it .As this project has been part of my life so far.

I am on vacation right now and I am editing this post on an island that barely gets TV cable therefore I have to close here, I just want to get the word out. Help me to spread it too.

In the weeks to come I will cover some specific details and features of the best ever released Bing client for iPad.

I will be talking about features that I have been specifically working on, like maps and news along to some other things that I want to share about design and learned lessons.

I am a progran manager with a solid technical background, I built so many prototypes in the attempt of pitching concepts, testing workarounds, evaluate value and so forth that I lost the count of it. Each prototype has a story behind it a story that should be told. Some they make you laugh so others well... you'll see and judge by yourself :-)

For now, if you have an iPad just download the app and start searching. If you don't, you can get an idea of what we built browsing this page.

The tam tam is started, take a peek, help us to make that tam-tam even louder!

If you have questions, comments, feedback or else, use the comments section, if you want some privacy, here I am. Talk to me.

Real artist ship. So we did and did great. You do the rest now.

Go Bing! for iPad.
