I just saw Chris Brumme's blog . Wow! Judging by the timestamps on the entries, he's either got a voice interface for dictating posts into his blog or he was sitting on a gold mine of CLR tips waiting for an outlet. I'm guessing the latter :-)

Christian points me at 5 WSDL designers that he's used. Of these 5 I have 2 (XML Spy and Omniopera) installed on my machine. In the end, I found myself using SlickEdit yesterday to create my Web service's WSDL. I was using SlickEdit for writing the C#...

I've installed and used both VMWare and Virtual PC on my tablet. VPC has one key advantage: It lets the guest OS use the right drivers for your hardware. VMWare installs its own drivers for things like display and network. In my case, VMWare's virtualized...

I'm taking some time today to work on a stream-based Web service for posting blog entries while listening to Dire Straits' Alchemy . Too bad Visual Studio doesn't have a WSDL designer.

I've gotten some responses to my question including a posting from Sam and some comments/email. So far the feedback has mostly centered on: 1- Deployment: It is much easier if you just need to deploy the framework. I'm not sure I buy this. .NET makes...

I wonder if anyone sees a difference in putting Web services features directly into the .NET Framework vs. having those features in a separate download named Web Services Enhancements . Does anyone actually care where the feature comes from?

The WS-I Basic Profile 1.0 Approval Draft is out. Think of this as the moral equivalent of a W3C Proposed Recommendation. This is the last chance for comments before it's set in stone (at least until the next version)
