You can get help on any error in the Error List window by Right-Clicking any error and choosing "Show Error Help".  This will show the documentation, if available, with details on the specific error.

  • Hi Zain

I am desperate looking for a shortcut in VS2010 but cant find it.

I think in VS2008 when you hit F7 the actual code window gets always the focus.

    Try this:

    1. Focus the Output window

    2. How do you get back to your code, without the mouse?

    F7 doesn't do the job :-(  ...anymore..

    THANKS for advice!

  • Simple and yet quite handy. I had never thought to right-click there before. :)

  • Hi Peter,

You can move back to code window from Output window by simply pressing Escape. And if you are looking to close any of your "dockable" windows like Immediate Window, Output Window, Project Explorer, ToolBox etc. you can press "Shift + Escape".

  • good one prash_ac!

Sometimes I forget the old school stuff, too :)
