Webcast Tomorrow! - Introduction to LINQ in Visual Basic

Published 06 March 08 05:45 PM

I'll be delivering a webcast tomorrow morning on an intro to LINQ in VB. If you're lost or just want to get started with it, join me and come see what it's all about.

Live From RedBethmond: VB9 - Introduction to LINQ in Visual Basic
3/7/2008 9:00 AM Pacific Time (US & Canada)- 3/7/2008 10:00 AM | Duration:60 Minutes
LINQ stands for Language Integrated Query and it allows you to query over things like objects, databases and XML in a standard way with a new syntax available in the latest versions of Visual Basic and C#. In this Webcast you will learn how to get started writing LINQ queries using the simple but powerful query syntax available in Visual Basic. We'll walk through a variety of basic queries as well look at aggregates and groups over different data sources. You will also see how writing queries over XML using specific Visual Basic syntax like XML literals and axis properties can help you be much more productive when working with XML.

Hope to see you there!

Sounds exciting! Just wanted to drop a line and say thanks for all the tutorials and guides that you and the VS team make. They really help me learn all the new advances with visual studio. I recently started college and am majoring in Computer Science. Keeping up with the new technology today is hard :>. I remember programming in QuickBasic, microsoft has come a long way since then. Have a good one!

Hi Etienne,

Sorry the post isn't clear. I pasted it from the webcast list on MSDN. It says from 9am PST to 10am PST. So it starts at 9 ;-)

Hope to see you there.

Talk to you in TO if not.

Cheers,

Hi Beth, tried to follow on the Live meeting, sound was there at the start then disapeared. Where can I donwload it from? Dialing the number given for the sound from the UK is costly, and you can alos hear all of the other participants which is annoying!

Hi Joe,

So sorry for the audio problems. It always seems to happen! I'm ging to try a new audio strategy for the next one.

The On-Demand download will be available tomorrow morning through the same link as above. Let's hope the audio comes through on that.

Thanks for coming.

Hi, Beth. I downloaded the on-demand webcast . The audio problems are still there . Can you fix that and upload the webcast again.

Thanks for the great work you have been doing.
