Thanks for posting although I am not sure what your comment is...your post doesn't seem to talk about mine at all.

When I said sidetracked by Kathy Sierra, I didn't actually mean anything but literal. I was going to write this journalism post at sxsw before the Kathy Sierra stuff came out, and then, ended up posting about Kathy before talking about journalism. I saw a couple of sxsw panels about content and journalism that sparked my blog post, and then Doc Searls post on journalism reminded me I was going to write down some observations.

As I mentioned in my comments on Kathy's blog, I don't know that anyone gets to judge her actions without remembering that Kathy's precautions for her safety can only be best judged by her. The blogger insider stuff I chose to stay out of because I don't know those people she talks about and have no insights. On the other hand, I don't know what info Kathy has given to the police either, and her post may have been crafted with consultations with law enforcement. There's too much unknown, I can't presume to judge her. I know you have, & I can't agree with that..in part for the same reasons I give about bloggers vs. journalists.

What's nice to see is the joint statement:

http://www.rageboy.com/statements-sierra-locke.html

and kathy's followup: http://headrush.typepad.com/creating_passionate_users/2007/04/updatejoint_sta.html

Betsy
