PhotoStory 3 is released for Windows XP customers

See http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/digitalphotography/photostory/default.mspx

The previous version is great and I have been waiting for the new release ever since I saw an early copy a few weeks ago. I am downloading it now (was too excited to wait to blog about it) and will report back with anything super amazing about it.

First look: Super easy to add interesting effects to each photo, tons of transitions between photos and a preview of the transition, ability to put text over each photo, and being able to save it to many different formats with suggestions for things like Portable Media Center and SmartPhone.

Nice, but you need to upgrade to m10 - even for viewing a story. My mother can't do that without my help.
