Passion by employees = great ideas and products
The Seattle PI has a story about The story behind Microsoft's new hand-held multimedia device, which is all about how 3 guys worked on their own time to make the Portable Media Center a reality. It's an interesting glimpse into how a single employee (or a few working together) at Microsoft can turn a great idea that they're passionate about into something for the entire world.
I think that's one of the great things about working at Microsoft!
