(Nearly) Last VSTS Training update

Last week I told you about the great success we had with the Beta teach of our 300 level training.  Well today I got what I believe is the final schedule for content delivery - And I'm pleased to say that it's sooner than I led you to believe.  Our current delivery expectations are as follows:

  • 300 level: 9/12/06
  • 200 level: 9/21/06

Now for the caveats...  Of course no schedule is really final until it's actually done.  We have high confidence in the dates but stuff happens and they could change.  And lastly these are our "release dates" and depending upon how you recieve training material there could be a few additional days for delivery.

Stupid question Brian...

When you say above ..."depending upon how you recieve training material"...is there a list, or some sort of thing like that that one needs to be on in order to get these materials?  Can one not just download them from the MS/VSTS site?

Sorry, that was pretty vague wasn't it :)

The plan is for the 200 level material to be available for download from microsoft.com.  I'll publish the download url here when it is posted.

I'm told that with the VPC images, the training content is REALLY big.  It may be too big for our download site.  My understanding is that is being investigated now.  If it is too big, we'll get creative.

The 300 level content is not going to be posted for broad download as it is targeted at training organizations.  I don't know what the delivery mechanism for it is.  I'll look into that.  If you want the 300 level material, your best bet is to contact sonalp@microsoft.com
