There have been hints that it was going to be released November 5 (DevConnections were suppose to be among the first to get it).

He, He, I won't ask you when VS2008 is released, but can you say if you guys have the next CTP of Rosario ready in the next few months? The stuff showed in the first public CTP was awesome and my manager wants the new work item types now! He was disappointed when I told him that it was not in VS2008. :-)

My company is MS Certified Partner with ISV\Solutions competency and we use TFS 2005 internally for development. We would like to upgrade to TFS 2008 RTM (or even Beta 2), but the absence of information about MS policy for licensing VS 2008 product line for partners is stopping us from doing that. Do you have any information about this topic? It is likely that MS will give partners limited licenses for using VS 2008 product line when it will be released as it did with VS2005, but we need clear permission to make such move.

Is it safe to say that "TFS 1.5", "TFS Orcas", and "Visual Studio Team System 2008 Team Foundation Server" are analogous?  I'd like to settle a bet with a colleague of mine.

We are not interested of upgrading to 2008 until the TFS Server 2008 is released. When is it planned to be relased?

I can answer Vladimir's general question...the licensing structure has not changed. So generally, whatever worked in VS2005 wlll apply in 2008. If you have Software Assurance (SA) with your current licenses you may upgrade without cost. I'm investigating more details of the partner programs and will post here if I find material information .

昨日、ヨーロッパで開かれた TechEd において、Soma が開発者向け製品 (VS、VSTS、TFS、.NET 3.5) の 2008 バージョンを今月 (11 月) 出荷すると発表しました。かなり前から今年中にリリースすると言い続け、何度も要望をいただきながら、時期を明確にすることはできませんでした。それが、やっと月まで言えるようになりました。でも、日付や週は聞かないでください。そこまでは言えないのです。
