Support period of TFS 2008 Beta 2

Back in August I announced that Beta 2 was a "Go-live" release of TFS for customers to use in production.  Because of this we arranged for Customer Support Services (CSS) to support TFS Beta 2.  Now that TFS 2008 has been released I want to clarify when support for Beta 2 will end.  As announced earlier, the Beta 2 release is set to expire on March 15, 2008.  In accordance with this, we've decided to terminate support for Beta 2 on that same date.  You will continue to be able to call CSS with Beta 2 issues until then.  That said, I strongly encourage you to move to the released build at your earliest opportunity.  The last thing in the world you want to have happen is have TFS stop functioning in March and leave you high and dry while you figure out how to get it upgraded to the RTM build.

Thanks,

Brian

Here’s the install guide for TFS: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=FF12844F-398C-4FE9-8B0D-9E84181D9923&displaylang=en

On the first page, you’ll find a link to the upgrade guide.

I was talking about upgrading from Beta 2 to RTM. The section in the installation guide only covers upgrading TFS 2005.

Do you have an update to your TFSVersionDetection tool for 2008?
