Bill Gates' Transition

Today Bill Gates announced his transition plans:

Essentially in two years, Bill Gates will transition away from a daily role at Microsoft to focus on the charitable work of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. However, he will continue to be the company's chairman after the two-year transition period.

Bill Gates always is my role model, my hero, back to when I was in my elementary school. Since I was a little kid, I've been always dreaming of working at Microsoft and having a chance to talk with Bill Gates.

The news is heavy to me and I even got a little bit emotional when listening to Bill Gates in the town hall meeting about the announcement. Luckily, I got an opportunity to shake hands with him after the meeting and it's become a memorable moment for me. What a thrill meeting.

At the same time, I think his Gates Foundation and charitable work are very meaningful and important to the society. I wish Bill Gates all the best for the coming years.
