Nice post Bill! This approach is straight-forward and easy to understand. What you’ve documented impresses me as an architectural design pattern. Perhaps its one of a family of design patterns that includes bottom-up and middle-out. I’d really like to see you elaborate on each of those, if you’re so inclined.
