the post hits the nail on the head for me. I am real interested in the sequential convoy + zombie problem you blogged about. More information on convoys (both kinds) would be interesting.

Can you provide more detail on Delivery Notifications? It is good to know delivery failed, but I would like to see how to pass 'why it failed' back to the Orchestration so each delivery exception type could be handled differently.

Well I am not really sure if this is called a Zombie but suppose the following situation.

I have a simple orch .
receive a doc and set some properties on the dynamic port and FTP it to another server.

I have the delivery notification on.
I have retry on 20 Times

If the send fails, it is send to disk instead.

Now if the receiving ftp server is down, my orchestration will eventually finish. I have a file on disk that i must send again and i have a message in the hat.....

Is this a Zombie ?

And if it is, how can I automatically delete that zombie in my orchestration so the people managing the Server won't complain about suspended messages.....

Lee,

I would love to see more detail on how subscriptions work internally. Externally, the subscription terminology is not used, so I'm not sure how a subscription is created when I bind an orch port to a send/receive port, or how to fine tune that subscription to narrow down the properties.

Would love to get some insight in the internals on subscriptions.
