Just another Manic Monday

Now playing: Seatbelts - Cowboy Bebop - The Egg and I

Well, it seems that things really do stay the same the more they change!  After posting my last post, it became clear one of those positions was indeed going to be filled within a few weeks.  But the very next day, I find out a long-time member of my group is moving from an SDET role to an SDE for the Frameworks team.  Well, at least he isn't moving too far away...  So I assume there are still going to be two openings in our team, although it will take some time for me to find out links, etc.

Among Kumar's recent contributions are the HIDUSBFX2 WDK sample and the WdfTester WDK tool.  So perhaps in addition to the other enticements I hinted at in that previous post, you might want to consider things you think could be done with one or the other.

Now playing: Grateful Dead - Go to Heaven [Bonus Tracks] - Don't Ease Me In

The last few days have been terribly busy, not leaving me much time for new content.  We're close to having a coinstaller in the next WDK version (for KMDF 1.7) that will in fact work on all supported OS, so people can get a head start on their 1.7 drivers, and so we can see if there are any other coinstaller bugs lurking about.

Now Playing: Grateful Dead - Wake of the Flood [Bonus Tracks] - Weather Report Suite [Studio Acoustic Demo][*]

Speaking of the coinstaller problems, a new one surfaced late last week in the newsgroups.  While we are still investigating it, the initial take would be that some 2002-era Nvidia display drivers may also prevent KMDF drivers to install.  Once I know for certain that I've got a workaround, I'll post recommendations.  In this case, at least, it looks like there are workarounds that don't involve coming directly to us for help.

Now Playing:????? - Wolf's Rain OST 2 - ???
