Redesigning Microsoft.com/community. Got any design ideas?
By the way, if it seems odd that we own the Microsoft.com/community pages, but we're still using Dave's blog to host much of the Tagspace product information, it is odd, but there's a reason. The Microsoft.com community pages are in dire, dire, need of a makeover. We found stuff in that collection that was three years old -- yikes (don't look at me, I only assumed ownership recently).
Anyway, we're redesigning -- like thoroughly, entirely, and without remorse.
It seems likely that we'll continue to employ both the Microsoft.com pages and our own blogs -- or possibly an externally facing sharepoint site to demonstrate the services we deliver. But we're not sure.
What do you think? I'd love to hear design ideas. We want the latest and greatest customer focused, engagement focused, communications/interaction rich, real people to real people, web presence on the planet. We have no preconceived notions and anything is possible. Yes, I'm anticipating some pushback from the branding police, but I'm not intimidated yet.
