Farewell Longhorn

The name for the next version of Windows has just been announced. I must say that Longhorn was one of the best known codenames ever, probably a function of us having been talking about it since before PDC 2003. Vista - like it.

On another note, I'm planning for architecture events in Ireland over the next 12 months. Given the huge success of the informal evening events that the developer community has been running what do people thing of doing something similar for Architects. In particular I'm thinking of short evening events ("Beer and Pizza") where we get an overview of an Architectural challenge, break into groups, have a beer and then discuss possible solutions? Like all things, depends on people's willingness to interact which can be difficult.

If there are topics, events, formats that you would like to see covered then please let me know.

Bill
