Today saw the launch of the brand spanking new user interface for Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint: the Office 12 Ribbon. The Ribbon replaces all the menus and toolbars, and most of task pane options for the applications that have taken it. Yes that's right, menus and toolbars are (almost all) gone!

Visual Studio 2005 Release Candidate is now available for download from the MSDN subscriber download site. The build is compatible with the September CTP of SQL Server. Both of these builds will be handed out to PDC attendees in the keynote session later
