Create your own 100MB of Astoria Data

At Mix 07 we announced the Astoria Data Service which offers a REST based access to relational data.  At that time we posted several static databases on live.com.  Yesterday we enabled anyone to push their own data to http://astoria.mslivelabs.com via an experimental service.

You can easily access Astoria Data Service from any Ajax application (via the easy URL format), a Silverlight application (via the Astoria Silverlight 1.1 client library) and of course any .NET applications

Read all about it on the Astoria Blog.

I tried to use AStoria with vs2008 beta 2 andi was unable to use it because he did not founfd reference to entity framework.

After that i install entity frameowrk may CTP and I was unbla to install it.

Do you try Astoria with VS 2008 Beta 2?

Steeve - the current Astoria CTP works against Orcas Beta 1 bits; we have not shipped a Beta 2-compatible version of the Entity Framework or Astoria yet. We'll ship the Entity Framework that's compatible with Orcas Beta 2 this month; once that's out there we can consider shipping a refresh of the Astoria CTP that goes with all Beta 2 bits.
