Design Guidelines, Managed code and the .NET Framework
With .NET Framework 3.5 and VS2008 shipping just over a month ago, I was very excited to see a number of hosters have already deployed .NET Framework 3.5 on their servers… The great thing about .NET Framework 3.5 is that it is completely compatible with .NET Framework 2.0, so you can easily move over to it and incrementally take advantage of the cool new features.
If you are looking to take advantage of some of the great things in 3.5 such as LINQ and AJAX support then I encourage you to check out these folks…
Oh, and I am sure I missed some folks… so if you know of anyone offering ASP.NET 3.5 hosting, please let add a comment here.
Thanks!

Thanks for the links. I am actually in the market for some cheap 3.5 hosting. Since I'm only going to be using it to test some things does anyone know of a free 3.5 host? I would really appreciate it. I've tried aspspider.com and Quantasoft but they didn't work out.
Celebrated the Christmas holidays with Sue's folks in snow-bound Nashua NH (also where we used to
www.serverintellect.com is offering 3.5 as well.
www.softsyshosting.com supports 3.5
Hi Kyle,
You can soon have a Free hosting for .Net 3.5 (according to the website) : http://www.qsh.eu/free
I am already using its free version for 2.0 and 3.0.
Thavo.
I recently changed my web hosting company. Now I am hosting with Bizhostnet.com. Not only they are super cheap but also very good.
Webhost4life also supporting .net 3.5, and 3.0 now:) </br>

Signed up with www.softsyshosting.com and they seem to be excellent. Support is excellent and always available and the website/ftp loads in a flash. Thanks Brad for your effort!
Signed up with http://www.reliablesite.net and have to say it's been a very pleasant experience, especially for the price.
I highly recommend these guys!!
I never knew about reliablesite.net. I think they are better than bizhostnet.com. Thanks Brad, with your help I came across this cool web hosting site. Thankfully I only signed for 2 months with Bizhostnet.com. Once I am done there, I am going to get my hosting needs from reliablesite.
www.ultimahosts.net also supports .net 3.5
They had it up less than a week after release which is cool :)
In comparison with M6.net all this Web Hosters is simple the gangsters taking away your money for nothing. At first I have not believed that offer M6.net, but after 3 months of a hosting there for $10 (simultaneously 7 sites, storage 170 GB, bandwidth 1000 GB) I was convinced, what is it all not a fantastic.
There is more to hosting than inflated numbers of disk space and bandwidth for cheap money (overselling). You are being very simplistic if that is what you think makes a good web hosting company. I'm sure you'll see this when something goes wrong.
http://www.softsyshosting.com seems to be very reasonable. I've just got a 3 days test account with them and it seems pretty sure that I'll sign with them today.
Thanks for putting the website links of ASP.NET 3.5 enabled hosting companies.

also provide those things 4 free...check this
ASPNIX (http://www.aspnix.com) too supports .NET 3.5
I have hosted my site there and till now their service is reliable, developer friendly & good hosting space and bandwidth.
In the UK, Red Fox hosting supports ASP.Net 3.5 and SQL 2005. I'm a long term customer - highly recommended:

I can only advice people to stay away from M6.net I used to have it for 2 years, and they never even managed to provide a working cpanel on the server with my shared space (and that was the least of my problems). Don't take my word for it, just type M6.net reviews or something in google and you'll see what I mean.
Virtual hosting means never having to say, "Support, can you install dot net 3.5?"
1 and 1 has some cheap ass virtual hosting for thirty bucks a month. Decent stuff, tho you have to do tons of updating of their busted image. Its server 2003 sp1, but its got old old crap installed on it. I mean, MSDE? That's so 2000...
Award-winning discounted web hosting company now offer greater deals and options supporting dot net 3.5

supports ASP.Net 3.5 and SQL 2005. I'm a long term customer - highly recommended. I like the fact that they allow unlimited setup of SQL 2005 db and domain and sub domain.

I've used parcom.net and serverintellect.com for years with good results. Server intellect is always there to pick up the phone if you need tech support.
I just wanted to give a shout out to Applied Innovations (they're in the list). I've been using them for over a year to host multiple sites and have never had an issue. When I needed something their support was excellent.

Something strange about softsys hosting... I almost signed up with them earlier today. I started the signup process, went to read the terms and conditions. After going through with the customary stuff, I stumbled upon this -
"These TOU shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of the India and you hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Vadodara courts."
In their "About Us" page, I got this -
"All of our servers are housed at data center facility owned by Handy Networks, LLC in downtown Denver"
If not cancel, I have postponed the idea of signing up with them. I found reliablesite.net to be pretty impressive, looking at their options now..

The server facility of softsyshosting is located in downtown Denver and they have their support centers in US as well as in India. I was confused about the same and had inquired and cleared the things with them. They have been pretty good so far with decent friendly support and pages load pretty fast too. I can highly recommend them because of their services they are providing to me.
Quantasoft Hosting - www.qsh.eu - also provide ASP.NET 3.5 webhosting (FREE and Commercial).
Update again! (there are more hosts to add)
In Romania there is LiveHosting ( http://www.livehosting.ro/Business-Hosting.aspx ) which offers ASP.NET 3.5 too
Lebo -
I can't agree more! I am very impressed by their responsiveness, and, the speed. They have generously given me an account to play with, which I am using right now. Only thing that still plays in my mind is them Vs. ReliableSite.Net - not sure which way to go!
Glad to hear that you are now able to experience the pleasant services by softsyshosting!! I bet you'll have great experience with them (as I am myself enjoying). I have always felt that they are very honest and they are always going a step ahead to make our life easy and help. I am sorry but I haven't used Reliablesite. But for me, softsyshosting is working great..
Think twice before signing up with reliablesite. They are having support issues and their customers are complaining in many open forums and their own forums. Check:
http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=661351
http://forums.asp.net/t/1197360.aspx
After getting the account with Softsys, I tried out a few little tests, then, to the big one. Downloaded the dropthings.com sample from CodePlex, created a database, used Red Gate tools to set up the database, FTP'ed the source (just modified the SQL connection string in web.config), and, I had the site up a running in like 15 minutes. I just couldn't believe this!!

All providers go through migration and hardware upgrades. Good providers do not let users feel something is going on - it happens seamlessly. Thanks for sharing the two links, I was attracted by ReliableSite's offering, perhaps they are trying to oversell.
To Brad -
Can you please include NetLogistics (www.netlogistics.com.au) in your list? They are based in Australia, and, I found them offering best value for money.
Cheers
I came across aspspider offering free web hosting. it is really cool. they support asp.net with sql express.
htt://www.ms-dn.com
Very well said IndyFromOz. Good providers ensure that everything is setup on new server before they start migration so that the customers have no or minimal downtime. Reliablesite seems to have failed in this. They also don't seem to operate on weekends as was posted in one of the forums. So I'll be wary of signing up with them.
BTW, netlogistics.com.au looks pretty good (site looks good ;) ) but they still don't seem to offer .NET 3.0 / 3.5 which probably defeats the purpose of listing them in this post. Also operating on old Plesk 7.5 which suc*s.
Check out http://www.sohosted.com!
They offer cheap prices and great support! They are based in the Netherlands.
Just realised that the website is only in dutch so that should reduce a whole lot of customers....but unlike the website tells you they do offer asp.net 3.5!
OrcsWeb now support ASP.NET 3.5
