Windows Live Writer Tip #2 – Force Category Refresh

imageIt is possible the categories on your blog can get out of sync with your blog.  This will most likely happen if you use a different blogging client then Windows Live Writer, WLW on a different computer, or post through the admin control panel.  In these cases, WLW might not pick up the new categories.  You can force it to sync the categories by clicking the ‘refresh’ button, in the category control.  It is the button with the two arrows.

Did you know Brandon that the recent problems I had been encountering with Writer not being able to post to Live Spaces might have been caused by my having too many catagories? I have since deleted some of them from Live Spaces and now seemingly I have no problem posting so will give this feedback in the forums.
