New Technology Lab in Cape Town fosters Interop
Great news from Cape Town - It looks like the local MS team has launched a Microsoft Technology Center (we say MTC) focused specifically on interoperability - it's the third lab in their Bandwidth Barn incubator. Having travelled to a number of countries to work with local teams, I am amazed at how quickly, and how well, these labs are leveraged within the IT community. From training to proof of concepts, they set the stage for 'having the conversation' about bringing disparate technologies together. Borrowing from Paulo Ferreira's post, here are a couple of specific points about the new facility: "The lab is available to all developers, academics, partners, start up companies and customers to test their solutions. They can also use it as a resource center to run small labs, training, etc. The lab is available free of charge and will be open to general public looking to get basic digital literacy etc. depending on availability." And here is a link to a regional press article concerning the launch.
