Hi Johan,

This particular SP is for Windows XP. I don't have information on service packs for other products. When that becomes available, I'll be sure to post it.

Thanks!

I love this new SP2...

very solid at this point (atleast for me)
and the spyware popup protection = A+

my only quandry is that it doesnt pick up my Norton as a virus protection resource but I suppose thats because MS is going to be coming out with there own soon ;]

Dont be shy and download it!

Installed XP SP2 last night June 28, 2004 and have had no negative issues. Read my AVG AV as working and up to date, turned off the XP Firewall as I use another and will check out the options of the preinstalled one as I am more comfortable with this SP2 RC2. Another thing that I have noticed is a smoother running CPU. Using the same applications as before and staying within the 9-11% cpu range rather then the normal 25-30% that it used to be. The pop up stopper that comes with the updated IE6 works most of the time I'd say 85%. Tested it heavily on Tripod and Geocities sites as they bombard you with plenty. Hasn't been a whole 24 hours yet so we'll see as other applications are used to get a better understanding how well they work together.

I beg to differ on anyone that states SP2 Rc2 or newer has great protection against spyware. Overall, I get a total of 10-50 new spy bots every week in the new RC2. So, Microsoft has done little to protect against these bots. But legally, they cannot do anything. The Government has no restrictions to help them. So, you cannot blame them too much.
