About Brian Keller - Technical Evangelist for Visual Studio Team System
Hello! If you're reading this you might want to know a bit about what I do. I work for Microsoft as a Technical Evangelist for Visual Studio Team System. What does a Technical Evangelist do, you ask? Great question - one that XAML Chick answered on her blog already so I'll just link to her definition which pretty much describes my day-to-day.
I've been with Microsoft since 2002. Prior to my current role in the Developer and Platform Evangelism group I worked on the XNA team, and before that the Visual Studio team. Before joining Microsoft I co-founded a couple of companies, including 352 Media Group. I also worked at Barr Systems for a while as a support analyst/professional services consultant, specializing in mainframe-to-PC connectivity and printing solutions (useless knowledge now, but it was fun stuff at the time!).
Florida is "home" for me but I have lived in Redmond, Washington since joining Microsoft. In my spare time I enjoy playing Xbox 360 (Gamertag == Gr8fulDead), skiing, snowshoeing, boogieboarding, or just enjoying my Windows Media Center rig (it's nothing fancy, but it's a fun hobby).
If you want to know more, just email me!
Cheers -
Brian
