&lt;p&gt;The RS_SP_x.Log &amp;nbsp;file reports the following error which is not correct because not only am I logged in as the administrator on the box, but the account has also explicitly been added to the Farm Administrators group and it is the designated Primary Site Collection administrator.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Any help would be appreciated before I drop RS altogether and start looking for something that at least installs.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;CD to %temp%&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Execute rsCustomAction.exe -i&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;failed again, then try :rsCustomAction.exe -r &amp;nbsp;and &amp;nbsp;-u &amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;the result looks like the same, &amp;nbsp;it always says: Uninstalling Report Server feature. &amp;nbsp;Uninstalling Report Server feature.... &amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
