I've got a Japanese import Sony Vaio U50 with a really nifty Japanese portable/foldable keyboard. I've never got this to work, and have always had to rely on my touch typing skills to remember which key to push. I'll try your fix today...

Using a Japanese 109 keyboard on a UK mapping is a frustrating experience!

Hey peeps,

This article cracked a smile after hours of trying toget my keyboard to work. Imagine forking up 20,000 yen for the diNovo only for the yen but not to work... and the pound sign to go wondering.

Alas, I don't seem to have 'Japanese PS/2 Keyboard (106/109 Key)' in the Model list. Do I need to do something special to get it?

Make sure you've unchecked "Show Compatible Hardware" in step 7. If you've done that but it's not in the list, then I'm not sure what to do. Should be in the list.
