Visual Studio 2008 and .NET Framework 3.5 beta 2 and Silverlight 1.0 RC1 releases
Last week Microsoft took a leap forward on its promise to enable developers to harness the next wave of innovation that includes Windows and Offce-based applications, dynamic Web sites and a brand new class of rich interactive applications by announcing the availability of:
- Visual Studio 2008 Beta 2. this is the next generation development tools for Windows Vista, Office System 2007, SQL Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 and the Web. Visual Studio 2008 will include many improvements to increase productivity including: better support to JavaScript coding (such as IntelliSense, syntax check, debugging) , new visual designers that make it easy to create application based on WPF, WCF and WF, and great tools for building Office Business Applications (OBAs). Beta 2 is released in several editions ranging from Visual Studion 2008 Standard Edtion to Visual Studio Team System 2008 Team Suite and Team Foundation Server. - .NET Framework 3.5 Beta 2. based on proven technology, adds new features in several major technology areas such as the integration of LINQ (Language Integrated Query), support for Web 2.0 AJAX style applications and services in ASP.NET, REST support, new WF and WCF tools to simplify building workflow-enabled services and additions to the base class library to address some of the most common developer needs.
