Office Live Developer Platform

Woo hoo.  I guess it's official now, and I can talk about what I'm working on.  Last week, the Office Live team presented plans for exposing their services as a Developer Platform at the Office Developers Conference in Redmond, and also blogged about it today on the team Space.

This is a really exciting endeavor, and essentially a 1.0 effort to help developers target their services to the Small Business segment that is so woefully underserved today.  By eliminating the expensive hardware requirements, hosted services allows us to get server-like functionality (such as roaming) to customers who previously couldn't afford it.

There's much yet to be figured out, so I'll let the team blog do the talking for today.  But suffice to say, this is a huge charter and a challenging assignment to be sure.
