Microsoft DreamSpark in Canada - No Cost Software for Students!

We have just announced a new program called Microsoft DreamSpark which provides professional development and design tools to students in Canada (and around the World) at no charge. The official launch date for Canada is February 21st. Our team is really committed to help support and advance their learning and skills through technical design, technology, math, science and engineering activities.

Initially, only students with a valid ISIC (International Student ID Card) will be able to access the products through DreamSpark. The good news is that these cards can be obtained at 132 ISIC offices across Canada (find a location near you at isic.org). But as time goes on, we will provide a lot of other ways students will be able to access the software. To see Microsoft DreamSpark in action visit http://channel8.msdn.com and click on Microsoft DreamSpark!

Here is a list of software and tools we are making available through the program:

In related news, Bill Gates will be visiting the University of Waterloo this Thursday. If you don't have a ticket to go see him, don't fret - his speech will be recorded and available shortly. If you want to see recent photos of Bill (taken just a few days ago), feel free to visit my photo gallery. Cheers!
