Tip For Windows Live Writer: Auto Save

Yesterday, I learnt a lesson the hard way. After reformatting my machine not that long ago & reinstalling all my favourite applications, I didn't notice that some of their settings had been set back to their Defaults.

Unfortunately I learnt when I rebooted my machine yesterday without even a second thought as to whether or not my blog post had saved, only to find it hadn’t! I was used to Live Writer automatically saving a draft of any posts I was writing… turns out I hadn't enabled the option to do that!!

So, the lesson I am sharing with you today:

Set the Auto Save Option in Live Writer!!!

Go to the Tools –> Options menu, select the Editing Tab & click to Automatically Save Drafts every X minutes as per below:
